As a licensed veterinarian with a canine massage certificate from the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy, I provide canine massage therapy that’s safe, effective, and tailored to your dog’s needs. When you book with me, you get:

What to Expect

Initial vet exam to check for any hidden health concerns, discuss canine massage goals, and introduce your dog to massage. You'll also fill out history forms. 
30-minute massage,
at least 2 hours after eating

For best results, start with weekly sessions for 6 weeks, then every 2-4 weeks. 
After the massage, walk your dog and offer plenty of water.

Indications to Massaging a Pet

  • ​One-eyed (uneven use of neck to turn and see)
  • One-eared (uneven use of neck to localize sounds)
  • Three-legged (extra weight on remaining limbs)
  • Seniors that are inactive or stiff
  • Breeds predisposed to arthritis 
  • Active and working dogs
  • Agility and other sporting dogs
  • Post-orthopedic surgery dogs (>6 weeks) to address compensatory muscle tightness
  • Well-socialized dogs that are stressed

Contraindications to Massaging a Pet

  • ​Aggression
  • Cancer including cutaneous mast cell tumours
  • Severe heart disease e.g., aortic stenosis, and atrial fibrillation
  • Phlebitis 
  • Panosteitis
  • Myositis
  • Acute intervertebral disc disease (IVDD)
  • Acute injury <72 hours
  • Open wounds 
  • Skin infection including ringworm
  • Fever
  • Shock
  • Diarrhea
  • Pregnancy
